How do you get to be the coach on a baseball team? For most of us it begins with your child coming home and announcing that they want to be on the baseball team. The team of course has no coach and you get elected to become the coach. Your first thought is how in the world do you coach kids to play ball. It sounds so easy just hit the ball and run, how hard can that be? Well to get a heads up and look like you know the game well we suggest that you pick a few good books and get ready to be called coach. You will be loved, hated and always second guessed in your decisions and abilities. The reward will come years later when kids you coached walk by and say "Hi Coach". At that point you will realize that every second that you have put into coaching was worth it.
