Poetry Contest

Everybody loves to enter a contest. It's a chance not only to win but just as important, it's also a chance to demonstrate your talents. Well, we have a contest for you. A contest we'll describe to you in just a minute. But first...

We have provided our readers with more than 1,450 pages of both informative and entertaining articles. If you have followed our progress, you will know that we add new articles and sections on a daily basis. We have added two new sections. One is a section of Daily Inspirations
and the second is a section of Poetry
.

These additions to our site have been a true serendipity for the site as well as our visitors. With the great response from our readers submitting their poetry to be published, we have decided to create a contest for all you poets who wish to participate.

Here are the details about the contest:

Each month we will give a $25.00 American Express or Visa/Mastercard gift card for the "Poet of the Month". The winner will be based on the number of unique visitors that read the poem. Unique visitors count is based on information provided to us by Google Analytics. Poets can invite all of their friends to read thier works however once a person has clicked on the page it will only count as one unique visit for that month, multiple clicks will not add to the count. Each month poets and their friends are allowed to again view the new works. On the 15th of each month results will be previewed and the winner determined. Poems that are accepted will be published on our website. Any poem submitted to everyday-wisdom.com may at our discretion be published in books or other marketing venues. All revenue generated by the marketing efforts of Everyday Wisdom LLC. will be retained by the corporation.

At the beginning of November 2009, we will invite the monthly winners to submit three additional poems. These poems will be the entries for the "Poet of the Year."

The person who wins poet of the year will receive a $200.00 American Express or Visa/Mastercard gift certificate. The runner-up will receive a $100.00 gift card, and our third place winner will receive a $50.00 gift card. Every winner will also receive a certificate for "Poet of the Month" and/or "Poet of the Year".

The poems will be added to our poetry section in the winner's section. At the bottom of each poem submitted, you will be allowed to give us information about yourself. And if you have a website we will allow a link back to your home page.
