my mother

There is fresh pine and morning dew,
Crisp leaves set fire by truth,
Banana noses and quick snapshots.
Pieces of you I have long forgot.
Only starry nights lit by Orion's Belt
Could describe the way it felt
To be so innocently guilty of
Desiring while hating love.
I cast aside my own delight
For some small chance you might
Deliver me beyond your womb,
Aknowledge me as part of you.
