That One Star In The Sky
The sky is dark and covered in clouds,
On a winter night.
But there you are,
That one bright star.
You never seem to lose your light.
As I look up,
You still remain at midnight,
The darkest hour.
You're apart from the rest,
But doing your best to show the world a power.
At certain times when the sun has just set,
You struggle hard to shine.
But then as clear as a diamond on asphalt,
You become the emblem of pride.
I know you can't see little boring me,
From your virtuous throne up high.
My feet touch the ground while your white light
surrounds every element of the sky.
