The Trinket Box

In my sisters dresser was a trinket box of pink
in it was something small, maybe the missing link
she wouldnt tell me what it was,
I shouldnt even guess
I knew it was special to her, a diamond more or less
as the days went on I wondered even more
until one day I watched her behind her door
the trinket box so prim was slightly opened,
for my eyes to see
and to my surprise my sisters treasure
was a picture of me
