The Unexpected

They said I couldn't do it
They didn't believe I could
So I told them to imagine
What I knew they never would
And I said

"If I'm not what you want, let me be
And if I'm unexpected, then I'm
thy eternity."

They said I couldn't do it
And they don't know the reason why
But I could, and I knew it
Then I knew I had to try

So I built a raft and gave it wings
And said, "If this fails, I'll die."
Then I sailed into the sunset
On the raft that I made fly
