Stay For The Season A Valuable Lesson In Life
How often we sabotage our success, in business and in life, because we don't take the time to stay for the season and see it through. I know that I have been guilty of doing just that, and in hindsight found that victory had been so close at hand, if I had only stayed long enough to "see it through".
And so, today I challenge you to stay for the season. I want you to "see it through", whatever it is that you have signed up for. It may have been a new career, a new business venture, a new relationship, a new way of thinking. Please stay the season and "see it through".
Please look past the changes that are necessary.the doubts, the fears, the angst, the possibility of defeat, and know that if you stay and "see it through", the victory you achieve will brilliantly outshine the struggles you encountered.
In life, we aspire to do much, and accomplish much, yet at the first threat of defeat we give up. We allow our weakness to overcome us, instead of digging within and finding our strengths.
We allow our vision of what the world will think of us to create barriers to our ultimate success. We dredge up all the negative thoughts we have ever had of ourselves or have been called by others, and we use them as the reason we do not stay for the season we signed up for. We do not â"see it through".
Will you make a choice today to "see it through"?Will you stay for the season? Will you give it all you've got, and call in your troops for assistance when the going gets rough? There are always true friends, colleagues, and family members who will be happy to be that shoulder you lean on, to be the voice of reason, to be the guardian of your dreams, if you only have the presence of mind to enlist their help. With their help you can stay for the season and you can "see it through".
Let's face it, that"s what the circle of life is all about it's the ability to share love, give advice, help another, and just be there. It is the ability we all have to help another stay and "see it through".
As parents, as older participants in the game of life, we have an obligation to our children, and to younger members of society to lead by example. We need to pass the baton on from generation to generation, as responsible individuals who always sought to stay throughout the season and "see it through".
We need to be a partner in building their own strengths, instead of pandering to their weaknesses. We need to teach them how to stay and "see it through".
Do you wonder at those who have been given no choice but to stay the season and so "see it through"? To think of just a few I remember that soldiers on the battlefield have no choice. Surgeons in the operating room have no choice. Mothers in the throes of childbirth have no choice. They must all stay the season and "see it through".
If you then, of free choice, make a decision to create, or improve an area of your life that you define as being worthy of change, should you not accept the challenge for all that it entails, and stay through the season so you can "see it through"?
Life will always be what you make it, and will always be defined by the choices that you make. As Jim Rohn says, you don"t have to stay forever, just stay long enough to see it through. So make the choice today that you will stay the season to "see it through". You will be so happy that you did!
